A message from our Principal...

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Martin Elementary!
Happy Birthday to you!

I hope you sang along with this message as we celebrate the 30th year of Martin's existence in the Cumberland County School System. During the course of the past thirty years, our school has contributed to the educational experience of many students, and holds many dear memories for these students, their parents, faculty members, staff personnel and administration. I, myself, am listed among the alumni of this fine institution and hope to give our students the same wonderful experience. Leading our students to success is my goal. Watching them grow, learn, and succeed is my reward.

Please watch for announcements this year regarding activities and ceremonies scheduled to mark this milestone. Make plans to join me as we celebrate our past and treasure our future.

A message from our Assistant Principal...

It is with great pride that I welcome you to Glenn Martin Elementary School! We are partners in your child's education. We provide outstanding teachers, a caring and supportive staff, and a safe and fun learning environment for your children.

As Glenn Martin celebrates its 30th year, I want everyone who is a member of this community to feel you are an integral part of our school. Learning together and from one another is one of the most powerful ways to learn and build relationships.

Get involved! The more you get involved, the more you and your child will benefit from school. I encourage you to join the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and to volunteer as a classroom tutor, library or computer lab aide, and chaperone on field trips. Please contact your child's classroom teacher or call the school for more information on ways to participate.

Our mission is to create an environment where each student is able to reach his or her highest potential. If adminstrators, parents, teachers, community and students work together, our mission will be accomplished. I look forward to sharing an exciting, adventurous school year with you and your child!
